For the Skeptic

We who are believers, who are born again and faithful have no problem believing that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God. There is the fact that the Bible validates itself in many places the following being just one:

“Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16–17

But I know that is not good enough for you Skeptics and Non-believers. So, I have one question of you who condemn the Bible as a book of myths or fairy tales.

How do you explain Isaiah 52:13 through 53:12?

Read these Scriptures and remember that Isaiah wrote these words at least 700 years before Christ as dated by most Theologians. The complete works of Isaiah including this prophecy of the Messiah is further documented in the Dead Sea Scrolls which themselves were secularly dated at least 150 BC.

There are many other reasons to believe that the Bible is the inspired inerrant word of God. If after reading the prophecy of Isaiah you now have doubts as to your “fairy tales and myths” stance I have a place you can go and find out more about the inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God.

At Reclaiming the Mind Ministries there is a free, on-line program of study; The Theology Program, which provides a number of courses of study regarding Bibliology and Hermeneutics. Although you can take this course by itself it would be best to at least take the Introduction to Theology course first.

Here is a Christian Apologetics (no it does not mean apology, see definition below) web site. The site is well laid out and easy to navigate. Take a look if you are really interested in debunking atheistic myths about God, Jesus, the Bible etc.
